Next FULL MOON is on Monday night July 3rd at 11 degrees CAPRICORN .

The Moon is not happy in Capricorn, where it’s not so easy for her to express her emotions (that’s the moon’s job). She is happier in her own sign of Cancer where the Sun is currently. These two signs are opposite each other, causing tension, indicating a need for some compromise in order to find a balance.

Capricorn likes to set a goal and go for it (think of the animal associated with Capricorn – the mountain goat ambitiously climbing to the mountain top).

Cancer is more concerned with making sure all the family are happy and safe.

Are you devoting an uneven amount of time to one of these scenarios? Is there a way you could find a more appropriate balance?

Two weeks later, early Tuesday morning 18th July will be a NEW MOON at almost 25 degrees CANCER .

The New Moon is making a helpful trine aspect to Neptune helping with sensitivity and intuition.

As Cancer is about nurturing, you may find a way to to be more caring to your friends and family. Notice if you can more easily intuit their wants and needs. Don’t forget to nurture yourself too! This is also a good time to honour your ancestors.

Remember the 2 weeks after the full moon until the next new moon is when the moon appears to be getting smaller. In other words she is waning. This is time for finishing off, getting rid of or selling things.

In the 2 weeks leading up to the full moon she is waxing or growing. An excellent time for starting something new.

On 23rd July the SUN will move out of shy Cancer into confident LEO .

You may notice the change in energy. Leos love to be the centre of attention.

Other words to describe Leo include warm, generous, dramatic, creative and romantic.

Their shadow side could be childish, fixed, intolerant, autocratic or conceited.

Leo is a Fire sign, so they are energetic, assertive and do everything on a large scale.

On the same day, loving VENUS stands still (stationary) as she prepares to turn RETROGRADE (apparent backward motion). Any retrograde planet requires us to look inwards.

Venus is to do with how we relate to others and what we value. These themes may emerge in the (approximate) 40 days (and 40 nights – ring a bell?) when Venus is retrograde.

Relationships could hit bumps, friends or lovers from the past may reappear. Not a good time to start a relationship. Ask yourself are you the best partner you would want to be?
