AUGUST begins with 5 planets retrograde, counting Chiron with Venus, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto, to be joined by Mercury on the 24th and Uranus on the 29th of the month. That’s quite a lot of planets urging us to look inwards, to reflect on or revise our situation.

If you find you’re particularly influenced by MERCURY RETROGRADE, be sure to backup your work, attend to any communication that’s been put on the back-burner and ensure that your car is running smoothly. Attend to these things before 24th.

There will be 2 Full Moons this month. When this occurs we call them Super Moons, carrying extra power.

The first FULL MOON will be on 2nd August at 9 degrees AQUARIUS , and is very close to Pluto reinforcing the strength of this Full Moon.

We need to find a balance between the opposite sign of fiery, warm, loving, enthusiastic, attention seeking Leo, where the Sun is, and cool Aquarius which can be distant, aloof and busy trying to help humanity. This is your chance to be innovative (Aquarius).

Two weeks later on 16th August will be a NEW MOON at 23 degrees LEO .

Leo is associated with the Sun, and likes to shine. Have you been feeling a bit dull lately? Here’s your opportunity to summon your enthusiasm and start to shine! Doing something creative (Leo) would be ideal.

This New Moon is being influenced by several planets – Jupiter (lucky), Venus (loving), Chiron (healing) and Uranus (unexpected). Make the most of them.

On 23rd August the SUN will enter VIRGO .

Virgo characteristics are modest, gentle, methodical, efficient, perfectionist. Virgo can also worry (especially about their health), be critical and fussy. Does this remind you of any Virgos you know? You may notice more of these traits in people in the month ahead.
