On Saturday morning, July 6th we have a NEW MOON at 14 degrees CANCER .

Being a Water sign, Cancer is very sensitive and emotional, so a good time to think about our emotions and those of our loved ones. Are we aware of what they’re feeling, and acknowledging it? Are we nurturing enough towards them? What about our own needs – how can we enable ourselves to feel sufficiently nurtured? This is the perfect time to have loving conversations around these topics. If you are a list person, maybe make a list of what each person would love, e.g. a regular foot/ neck massage, I’m sure you can think of plenty of ideas to discuss.

On Sunday night, July 21st, we have the second FULL MOON in CAPRICORN , the previous one being at 1 degree on 22nd June. This Full Moon is at 29 degrees.

Where is 29° Capricorn in your chart? The House position gives an idea of what area of life to expect any action, particularly if you have a planet or angle (e.g. Ascendant or Midheaven) around 29 degrees of Cardinal signs, that is, Capricorn, Cancer, Libra or Aries. For example, if this degree is in your 8th house, it is opposite the 2nd house. Remember the Full Moon is in opposition to the Sun. So you could hear about a birth (8th house) which will affect the person’s finances (2nd house). It doesn’t always happen to you, it’s often something you hear about, and could affect you in some small way, even just happiness or other emotion you feel as a result.

Because Pluto (planet of birth, upheaval, intensity) and Chiron (also birth, and healing) are strongly involved in this Full Moon, expect some possible power struggles, being faced with your fears, and letting go. None of these are easy to deal with, but are sent to us to learn and heal and grow.

On Monday night 22nd July, the SUN moves from devoted Cancer into magnetic LEO .

Later this month, Mercury and Venus will also move into Leo.

Some characteristics you may notice in Leo people (as well as people with Leo Moon or Ascendant) are warm, generous, dramatic, optimistic and romantic. Their shadow side can be conceited, childish (as opposed to child-like, which can be endearing), autocratic and too fixed in their ideas or ways.

Even if you don’t know a person’s chart, but suspect they could be Leo because of the lion-like mane of hair, or are energetic, regal and tend to always do things on a grand scale, you may just be right!
