We are all familiar with our Sun sign, but how many of you know your MOON SIGN? (The position of the Moon at the moment of your birth, as found in your birth chart as a Moon symbol

.)
Compared with the Sun and other planets, the Moon moves very quickly, only staying in each sign for 2 and a half days. (The Sun is in each sign for 1 month.)
Whereas the Sun in our chart represents our core being, the Moon represents the feminine side of us, our feelings and moods. As the Moon is constantly changing, waxing and waning, so our moods change. In fact many of you will notice your moods change in tune with the Moon. Do you have more energy and perhaps can’t sleep at the Full Moon? Some people cannot control the excess of energy at this time, and police for example, report increased incidence of crime, and hospitals have more emergency admissions.
The Sun shines the light, the Moon reflects it. She is receptive and reflective. She represents our inner child – what we want, and what we need in order to make us feel comfortable and secure. That’s the feminine side of us, regardless of our gender.
The Moon also represents other females, in particular our mother or mother figure, traditionally the first person in our life responsible for attending to our needs.
