On Saturday morning 10th February there will be a NEW MOON at nearly 21 degrees AQUARIUS
.
It is also the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Dragon, which is said to be very auspicious. Chinese New Year is when the ancestors are honoured and we let go of the past year. It is celebrated at the 2nd New Moon after the December solstice.
Western society celebrates every New Moon as a new beginning, and it’s a good time to set new intentions according to the sign of the Moon.
Some positive intentions for Aquarius are –
I want to:
– make a positive contribution to the world
– join a group of people who share my interests
– have inspiring new ideas in the area of………(my work, my relationship etc)
As unpredictable Uranus is in a square aspect to the New Moon, you might experience some unexpected changes.
On Monday 19th February, the SUN moves from intellectual Aquarius into dreamy PISCES
.
Pisces is a Mutable Water sign, and could be compared to a vast ocean – deep, powerful and ever-changing.
Some key words to look for during Pisces’ month are sensitive, compassionate, humble, intuitive. Also vague, careless, pessimistic, impractical. Pisces people do like to spend time alone and in nature. Does this sound like any Pisces people you know? (Of course, the whole chart needs to be taken into account, such as the Moon position, Ascendant sign etc. A chart is quite complex.)
On Saturday night 24th February there will be a FULL MOON at 5 degrees VIRGO
.
This means the Moon in Virgo an Earth sign, wanting us to be grounded, is opposite the Sun in the watery sign of Pisces, which is anything but grounded; not helped by 3 more planets in Pisces (Mercury, Saturn, Neptune). So, we can expect to be feeling more confused and impractical around this time. Maybe disciplined Saturn sitting right by the Pisces Sun, will help us to balance the qualities of Virgo with Pisces.
May you find your cloud with a silver lining. ![]()
