Late Thursday night 11th January (in Australia) there will be a NEW MOON at 20 degrees CAPRICORN
.
The New Year always begins with the Sun in Capricorn, and because a New Moon is a great time to start something, why not use this time to set your goals (Capricorn ) and decide your priorities for this year. From Friday, just after the New Moon, the Moon will start growing in size (waxing), until the Full Moon 2 weeks later. The waxing Moon is always the best time to put new plans into place, to start or plant anything you wish to grow.
Uranus will be there to give you insights, and Pluto will help you think deeply about it. With the moon’s nodes also in the picture (squaring the New Moon), you may have to make decisions involving your future.
As Capricorn is an Earth sign, you’ll be nicely grounded for this project. But Capricorn is also a Cardinal sign, and all Cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) tend to want to do too much, so be mindful of overcommiting yourself.
Ideas for New Moon intentions –
– I want to learn from my experiences and responsibilities
– I want to be successful in my working life, and indeed, whatever I undertake.
On 21st January around 1am ADST, the SUN will move from ambitious Capricorn into imaginative AQUARIUS
.
This is particularly important because only 12 hours later Pluto will move also move into Aquarius. Thus the Sun and Pluto will be conjunct (together) at 0 degrees Aquarius. Universally we could see upheavals. Personally, especially if you have any point or planet at first few degrees of Fixed signs (Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius), it could mark a turning point in your life. But for now, something could still be hidden.
Some of the characteristics of Aquarius to look for when the Sun moves into this sign:- inventive, independent, humanitarian, progressive, eccentric, rebellious, impersonal.
Aquarians are kind but detached. They enjoy being unconventional. Like all Fixed signs, Aquarian people can be stuck in their ways. Being an Air sign they are intellectual.
This month’s FULL MOON will be early on the 26th at 5 degrees LEO
.
Leo is a very social sign, and with the Moon in square aspect to Jupiter (expansion), use the time to catch up with friends. You’ll probably notice others (and yourself) wanting plenty of attention. This is a Leo trait. Otherwise, it’s a good time to catch up on some study (Jupiter).
Full moons, therefore oppositions, call for balance. How much energy are you putting into getting attention (Leo) and how much into considering needs of humanity as a whole?
Planet of transformation, Pluto, is connected to the full Moon, pushing us to face up to our emotions and learn to understand them better.
With love and positive good wishes for your month ahead,
